Our family has always tried to instill a mission mindset in our children as they have grown. We have done this by sponsoring missionaries personally and their ministries. We have also prayed for individual families faithfully serving in the field. It was a new experience serving on a short-term project of our own, together. Our experience and the opportunity to combine a little work with a little pleasure blessed us.

The day our family arrived in Brownsville, we started down a path of no return. It was one that would forever change the way we view people and their circumstances. We forged ahead thinking we would help so many people, but we never expected for those same people to help us so much in return.

Why FOMT?

What is FOMT about? FOMT (Families On Mission Trips) is simply a way for families to do mission trips together.Many churches do mission trips, often in the summer going to developing countries. Often times, it is a group of young people that go together with a few adults. FOMT is another way to reach out to others in the name of Jesus.
